13th Annual Trick or Trash Clean-Up

Be part of the solution! The Surfrider Foundation – RI Chapter will be coordinating a coastal Clean-up at Hull Cove in Jamestown and Narragansett Town Beach, this Saturday morning, October 27th, from 9am – 11:30, as part of our annual “Trick or Trash” Fall coast sweep. This event comes on the heels of the 5 Gyres Oceanic Garbage Patch talk held at the Jamestown Arts Center which our chapter co-sponsored. Cleaning up plastic pollution from the world’s oceans is impractical, help stop it at its source by collecting it from our shores!

Volunteers with sturdy shoes, gloves and desire to lend a hand are sought to help! This is a great opportunity for students who have community service hours to fill, and is family friendly! Come for an hour, or two, or the whole time! We will be meeting at the South Lot at Narragansett Town Beach. Parking is limited at the Hulls Cove access in Jamestown – consider car pooling, or getting dropped off.

For more information, or to say ‘yes, I plan to help!” contact Phil at 401-855-8453.
