International Surfing Day is Thursday!

ISD2

International Surfing Day is an annual worldwide celebration of surfing held on June 20 — A day to give thanks and go surfing, ISD organizers aim to raise awareness of the state of our oceans, waves and beaches and help protect and preserve these recreation areas. Surfrider Foundation and industry friends and partners will commemorate the day by hosting events around the world.

The Rhode Island Chapter will be doing a beach clean-up and paddle-out in Westerly Thursday at 5pm. Park behind St. Claire’s Annex at 141 Bay St. AFTER 5pm. Walk up Larkin Rd. (past the carousel) to the public access point (near 2 Bluff Ave.) at the curve in the road where it turns into Bluff Ave.  See you there!

  1. Breathing problems such as asthma and even snoring can be the result of dirt trapped in your carpet. For this reason, carpet cleaning can no longer be considered a luxury but a necessity for every home. It is recommended that vacuuming be done at least twice a week; however, this is not enough to get rid of all harmful particles. Professional carpet cleaning needs to be done after every six months especially for homes with children or pets. The benefits of this go beyond having a clean carpet. You also get health benefits from the same.
