Yesterday, Surfrider issued an action alert urging Congress to reinstate funding for the BEACH Act grants that your states partially, if not, wholly rely on to fund their beach water testing programs. It is very important that we get the word out on this issue very soon as Congress has only a couple more weeks to make funding requests for next year's budget. Some of our staff have been making visits on Capital Hill to garner some support on this issue.
